God changes God's mind about you (and that's a good thing!)

In our gospel reading for this day, Jesus encounters a woman, an outsider, and is moved by her passionate plea to change his mind about her request to save her daughter. In this message, we hear about that story and about the ways in which we might, too, need to change or be changed. All while giving thanks that God does change God’s mind about what we deserve as sinners.

Speaking from the Heart

What comes from your heart matters. Jesus tells the crowd to listen, that being defiled is a matter of what comes out of us, from our heart. Embracing the correct intent, then, is critical.
