How will you measure your life? In part one of this three week series, Pastor Paul looks at the Parable of the Sower to learn something about how we measure our life and how God will measure our life. We are called to LOVE (even if we don’t like) and we are called to sow seeds with our life. How will you measure your life? By who and how you love.

Jesus is a radical Savior who does radical stuff. Too often we lose the context of Jesus’ choices and examples. In today’s reading, Jesus takes a child in his arms as an example of what greatness looks like, but why did he do so? Follow along with this message by Pastor Paul to learn more.

What kinds of claims do we make about Jesus? Are we afraid to make a claim at all? Is our faith so private and personal that we don’t want to share it? Or are we afraid we have too many questions to be the person to share who Jesus is? All this and more in this week’s sermon from Pastor Paul.

In our gospel reading for this day, Jesus encounters a woman, an outsider, and is moved by her passionate plea to change his mind about her request to save her daughter. In this message, we hear about that story and about the ways in which we might, too, need to change or be changed. All while giving thanks that God does change God’s mind about what we deserve as sinners.

Speaking from the Heart

Sunday Sep 02, 2018

Sunday Sep 02, 2018

What comes from your heart matters. Jesus tells the crowd to listen, that being defiled is a matter of what comes out of us, from our heart. Embracing the correct intent, then, is critical. Our intent comes from knowing that God is the source of life and that we live in response to what God has first done for us.
