This week, guest preacher, Rev. Dr. Charlene M. Rachuy Cox, retells the story of Jesus teaching in the temple.

What single Bible verse most clearly identifies with your life story? What speaks to you? In the reading for today, Jesus defines himself by reading from a scroll and telling his audience that the prophecy of Isaiah had been fulfilled in their hearing. A pretty bold step.

God’s Work is present here, among us, today. It unfolds in, around and through our lives, today. Keep your eyes open to see it!

The light increases around us each day, but in order to see it, we have to be intentional each day. Jesus is the Light of the world, and during Epiphany we can learn to notice the Light each day so that we notice the increasing Light in us.

Look up! Look to the stars and, follow the Light.

A bright star in the nighttime sky draws three wise men to take the journey of a lifetime to encounter the Messiah, a child, Jesus. The rest, as they say, is history, but we are a part of it, too!
